Jazz: End grain Blackwood
Jazz End grain Blackwood finger, feet, groove
Size: 405x295x50mm
Each board is lovingly hand created, the work of an artisan, made depending on the qualities of the timber. This means each board is unique and your board will always be different.
End grain boards are the chefs’ first choice as the self-healing qualities allow for long lasting use and protect expensive knife blades. Cared for properly your board will last a lifetime and be a valued family heirloom for following generations. Every board has a food grade mineral oil bath and is then sealed with a homemade local beeswax and oil mixture.
Gifting and use
Alan’s boards are the perfect gift for Christmas or Holiday Season, Anniversary, Wedding, Birthday, Retirement, Father's Day, Mother's Day or simply as a Thank You gift for your favourite person. The board has innumerable uses and will be loved by homemakers, home entertaining, barbecue gatherings, aperitif, tea on the verandah, for the late-night fireside nightcap, or early morning breakfast in bed.
Care instructions
Wipe with a clean damp cloth and dry immediately with a clean dry cloth. If a deeper clean is needed a quick handwash in clean warm soapy water is acceptable if dried immediately and thoroughly with a fresh dry cloth and stand on edge to allow airing on both sides. Regularly season with board butter - a mix of beeswax, canauba wax, and food grade mineral oil.
